This is for registration for the 2012 Red Bull x State Bicycle Co. - Midnight Crit - Ride+Style Qualifier.

Amongst other rules listed below, please note THIS IS A FIXED GEAR ONLY RACE; NO GEARED BIKES, FREEWHEELS, ETC.  FIXED ONLY.

All participants must register by MIDNIGHT- April 13th, 2012. REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT. NO REGISTRATION DAY-OF.

What do I win?
You get an invitation to the most exclusive fixed gear race of the year! The 2012 Red Bull Ride+Style in San Francisco, an invite-only event. State Bicycle Co. & Red Bull will provide your HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS, invites to all of the pre & post parties, and other prizes. Runners up will also be award prizes from State Bicycle Co. & Red Bull.

Where and when is the race?
The race will meet at 9:30 pm sharp at Tempe Beach Park. Official location is a secret until night of. If you are not there at 9:30 pm you could be disqualified. Be there early.

What is the format of the race?
The will be a crit style race consisting of 2-4 rounds. We reserve the right to change the format to a point-to-point race on an "AS NEEDED" basis, night of.

What do I need to bring?
Your ID, lights, a helmet, and brakes. All of these are required. THIS IS A FIXED GEAR ONLY RACE.

Where's the after party?
The after party will be a Casey Moore's. It is 21+ event. This will be a good time. They have reserved a special section for us.

Anything else?
All riders must be over the age of 18.

What is Red Bull Ride + Style?
On April 28, San Francisco’s Justin Herman Plaza will once again serve as the setting for the collision of fixed gear biking and urban contemporary art known as Red Bull Ride + Style. After a highly successful inaugural kickoff in 2011, the event returns even bigger and better for 2012.

Red Bull Ride + Style features fixed gear riders facing off in both track and freestyle competitions, with the obstacles designed and decorated by local San Francisco artists. In 2011 the event brought together more than 50 riders from both coasts, including riders from fixed gear meccas San Francisco, Portland, New York, and even Japan.

The 2011 top ten finalists in both categories will be automatically invited back to this year’s event. While the remaining spots in freestyle will be invite-only, the race portion of the event will consist of a qualifying round the night before the main event. This will serve as an open invitation to all hopefuls to lay down their best time in order to qualify for the big show in Justin Herman Plaza on April 28.

This year’s racetrack is being designed with input from selected participants from the 2011 Red Bull Ride + Style event. Details will be released on the new track and freestyle course prior to the event, so riders can prepare themselves properly for the demands of event day. Another update with the full list of invited freestyle athletes and more information about the event will be released shortly.

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the capital State Bicycle Co. and its Sponsors, its officers, directors, members, volunteers, employees, agents, sponsors, other participants, operators, officials, any persons in or related to Red Bull x State Bicycle Co. - Midnight Crit - Ride+Style Qualifier (“ride”), all for the purposes herein referred to as “releases”, from all liability to me, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to me or my property or resulting in my death, whether caused by the negligence of the releases or otherwise while participating in the “ride”. I have been instructed and agree to obey all traffic and safety laws applicable.  I agree to provide my own brake, helmet, and lights.

I understand completely that this race is unsanctioned and non-permitted. I understand that I am my own person on public streets. I understand that I could get hurt and / or die, and that others could get hurt and die because of my actions. I promise to ride safe and to make safety the highest priority when I ride. State Bicycle Co. & its sponsors reserve the right to change, cancel, and modify the race as it sees fit and at their sole discretion.
