Baller's Bikes : Custom 6061 Black Label Bikes for the Phoenix Suns

A few months ago we linked up with Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker to get him on something he could ride around town.  Shortly after, he reached out with the idea of doing custom bikes for all of his teammate for surprise Christmas presents. Being, life-long Suns fans we jumped at the opportunity, and we’re glad we did because they turned out great! Take a look:

The bikes are based on our 6061 Black Label Series, featuring double-butted aluminum and a carbon fork.

Each bike is individually named and numbered for the player. There are some “custom features” for the Suns' players vs. our standard Black Label like the internal brake routing. We knew the players would be more accustomed to riding with a freewheel so this was a must in concealing the rear brake cable. Furthermore, the down tube is adorned with the scorching hot Suns logo that pops on the matte black finish.

The extra-wide uncut mountain bike riders look oversized on most bikes but on these size 62cm+ bikes, they are perfect for the NBA players who are riding them.

We had to produce a custom size 66cm for the players over 7’0” tall, including this year’s number 1 draft-pick, Deandre Ayton.  See below, our CS / Sales Manager Melissa G. with Ayton’s bike!

We delivered the bikes to the Suns' players in their designated parking spots on their first home-game after Christmas, see the shots below for player reactions:

Reigning NBA 3-point Contest champion Devin Booker with his new bike! “It was great to see the smiles on my teammates faces, I appreciate State Co helping me make their Christmas a little more special” said Booker.

Turns out 7-footers are really tall!
