We bought two bikes from State and we love them. They look great and are simple to use, they have everything you need. The only reason they are 5 Star is because both bikes have had flats in the 2 weeks we have had them. We live in a state with pretty bad roads so they will be bad on the tires no matter what but they were flat faster than expected.
I have not received the bike yet waiting on pins and needles!
Completely love the bike. Shifting is easy. Brakes are reliable. It is gorgeous - I get compliments on it ALL THE TIME! Honestly though, the bell sucks. I think it rings about 20% of the time. I love in Boulder where everyone is out walking or biking so it's not uncommon to need to use the bell, unfortunately it rarely works, it just doesn't make a good dining sound unless you're very specific about how or where to strike it. It's simply not reliable so I'm going to replace it. Obviously it's not a big deal - especially cause the bike is awesome, but I would recommend looking into a higher quality bell or simply not including them. I have the platform basket with a cup holder on my bike. It's great but I can't put anything small in it because there is nothing to hold it in. It would be awesome if the metal railing connected to the wooden base with some sort of thin metal mesh. That way I could throw my cell phone or the sandwich I just bough in it without workinfnabout it simply sliding off the platform. I know it's not technically a basket but it would be great if you could use it like a small one. Finally, keep up the awesome work. I admire what you're doing. Keep it honest and authentic and please, please don't sell out. I'll keep sending people you're way! Cheers, Sam (antha) Killgore
