I love it!!!

So I was looking into bikes online and the local bike shops but theyre just too big or bulky for me and the colors I didnt really like it not to mention the big *** brand names on the bikes body. Then I saw states ad on fb and I just fall in love with their bikes the first time I saw it and I knew I was gonna get one from them. I ordered the bike on a friday and it arrived by tuesday or weds the following week! It was so fast! I got the adrien and added the gear in it and when it came they gave me the bell and the rear rack for free. Its a little bit pricey but its totally worth it. Ive been receiving a lot of comments, like a lot, that my bike is pretty. Its comfortable to ride on too.

Love the bike! Would improve the basket and the bell.

Completely love the bike. Shifting is easy. Brakes are reliable. It is gorgeous - I get compliments on it ALL THE TIME! Honestly though, the bell sucks. I think it rings about 20% of the time. I love in Boulder where everyone is out walking or biking so it's not uncommon to need to use the bell, unfortunately it rarely works, it just doesn't make a good dining sound unless you're very specific about how or where to strike it. It's simply not reliable so I'm going to replace it. Obviously it's not a big deal - especially cause the bike is awesome, but I would recommend looking into a higher quality bell or simply not including them. I have the platform basket with a cup holder on my bike. It's great but I can't put anything small in it because there is nothing to hold it in. It would be awesome if the metal railing connected to the wooden base with some sort of thin metal mesh. That way I could throw my cell phone or the sandwich I just bough in it without workinfnabout it simply sliding off the platform. I know it's not technically a basket but it would be great if you could use it like a small one. Finally, keep up the awesome work. I admire what you're doing. Keep it honest and authentic and please, please don't sell out. I'll keep sending people you're way! Cheers, Sam (antha) Killgore

Smart Purchase

The bicycle was ordered online with ease. The box arrived within a few days. Big Shell Bikes in Porrt. Aransas assembled it that same day in just anout an hour. One clamp was missing for the rear rack so he put two cable ties to hold it in place. I test drobe it for leg length and seat fit, the adjustments were made and I was on my way all in one day.
It’s an expensive bike but I it well made, easy to assemble and a very sound and solid ride. It’s worth every dollar spent. And I am very pleased with this purchase and proud a ride it around town. Thank you State Bicycle Company!

Gift for my girlfriend and she loves it!

Love the bike - the paint is amazing in the sunlight. We cruised 20 miles last weekend stopping off at a coffee shop first and then a bar later. Only complaint is the front wheel hasn't been spinning true from the beginning so I'll have to take it somewhere to get fixed.

Rylee

Nice Commuter Bike. Quality Paint but the Bell could be improved. Where is the Bottle opener on the Rylee Located

Classic and timeless

This bike is very well built and really has a classic/timeless look to it that is a real headturner when out riding. It is a little on the heavy side but that's not totally unexpected with the fenders, chainguard and racks included, so I can't complain much. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because the bike did not come with the bottle opener. They did send out the bottle opener free of charge (thanks State Bike!) but the frame itself was not predrilled with bottle cage bosses so unless I drill these out myself I can't just throw on the opener as is. I don't want to mess up my wife's new bike so I just put the opener on my own bike's cage bosses. That aside the bike is a great addition!

A Looker. Weak Grips

Bike looks great. Paint jobs is sweet and i what sold me on the bike. It shipped quickly. But it arrived with a couple screws missing on the rear rack. The hand grips and saddle are kind a weak and feel very low end. If i were to do it again I would have added the Brooks saddle offered at check out. Lesson learned. Overall Im satisfied.
Thanks!
Overall if you want the looks the is s nice bike, but some details components are sub par.

I love the bike but...

This is such a stunning bike to look at. It has a gorgeous paint job/color and it's a real head-turner. Totally my fault, but I didn't realize until after I bought the bike that the brakes are back pedal/coaster brakes. I really really HATE back pedal brakes. I think they don't work nearly as well as normal hand brakes. I truly wish there was an option when "customizing" to change the type of brakes that come with the bike. For that reason, I'm probably going to return the bike because it's going to cost me around $250 to change the brake mechanism. If you can stand coaster brakes, then this is the bike for you!
