Great Bike and an amazing color

Coming from a geared road/gravel bike this is my first proper fixed gear and I love it. A couple at nit-picks with it (see below) but nothing that is a dealbreaker and they may not be an issue for everyone.

The first thing everyone will notice is the color. It is simply amazing. Hard to do justice in photos, but the white is a pearl white that really looks great in direct sunlight.

The bike and feels plenty stiff and fast. Mine is stock aside from the TRP RRL Brakes. (The website description isn't super clear, but my bike did come with a front brake from State, but I had already bought separate levers/calipers, and I prefer this brake lever style anyway.) Maybe it is sacrilegious to run brakes like this on a fixed gear, but oh well.

I do wish the chain the bike came with was a bit longer, even if only by a link or two. As is, the rear wheel runs very close to the seat tube. Probably fine for a velodrome or something, but out on the street where you'll pick a dirt and whatnot I can see it become an issue scratching the frame. I see the other review mentions that the tire actually wore through the paint a bit on their bike so I pre-emptively put some electrical tape on the seat tube to protect the frame. Also, if you want to switch to an easier gearing with a bigger rear cog, this will be an even bigger issue. The seatpost that bike comes with is okay, but doesn't have a way to adjust the seat angle. The fairly big diameter doesn't have a lot of flex either.

Cool, light & standout track/fixie bike

Thrilled to have light, fast and beautiful Undefeated II bike! Just upgraded to new longer Pro Shimano 120mm with 17+/- stem, Selle Italia Flight 1990 saddle, front brake by Shimano 105 with Tektro lever, narrower FSA Omega 400 mm handlebar and bar tape by Supacaz. Another happy owner and cyclist.

Great, beautiful bike!

Chain was a bit short which caused the tire to rub and burn off paint on the frame. However, after speaking with customer service, they sent me a new chain and a small token for my troubles. I’m a bit of a detail oriented guy, so the burned paint bothered me, but the customer care somewhat made up for it. Somewhat…lol. Other than that, the bike itself performs great! I recommend.

Awesome bike for jumping on the Velodrome

First season on the Velodrome on my SBC Undefeated was awesome. Bike is super solid for track workouts and very quick for racing. Looking forward to taking it to the Winter Omnium Series in the off season. Thanks for putting together a great value and making this little adventure quite a bit more fun.

First Fixed Gear bike and I Love it.

Coming from Road/Gravel and this is my first fixed gear bike. So far I have about 40mi on ridden on the bike. That's not a huge amount, but enough to give impressions I think. In general, I'll be commuting and riding some of my flatter road bike routes (20-35mi range), so for what I'm using this bike for I'm really pleased with it.

I'm really impressed with the frame. It is plenty stiff and really pretty light considering the price point isn't outrageous. Good welds as far as I can tell as well. The paint is awesome. Tough to photograph in my seemingly forever cloudy part of the world, but the white is really like a metallic pearl and looks amazing in the sunlight. The wheels are maybe an obvious upgrade point if you were serious about racing, but that would be true of basically any bike in this price range so this isn't really a knock against State or this bike. Seats are pretty personal, and I want some more time in this one, but so far I think I like it.
I'd be curious to ride the 6061 Black Label to compare, but my gut says if you can do the extra $300, the Undefeated is probably worth the upgrade.

Couple of nit picks, but nothing major: Given the sizing options (jumping from 55cm to 58cm) I wouldn't mind having the option of a setback seatpost or longer stem. I'm 5'11" (right between the 55 & 58 sizes) and went with the 55cm. I think that was the right choice, but maybe I will switch to a slightly longer stem eventually. I also wish the chain had maybe 1 more link in it. As is, the rear tire sits really close the seattube. I saw the other reviewer actually mentioned rubbing through the paint on the frame, so I preemptively just put some electrical tape there as a bit of protection.

Another small thing to note, the description on the website wasn't super clear, but my bike did come with a brake caliper and lever. I didn't know that would be included so I pick up some TRP RRL levers in advance and really like those. Also (maybe since I'm used to my road/gravel bike) I like the option of being able to ride on the hoods with those. (Brakes themselves are a used set of Sram Force calipers and no complaints there.)

Fan-f*¢king-tastic!

My first State bike (Core-Line Redwood Park edition) got stolen and I had only put in 1200+ miles on it. That bike was such a looker and I had some really sweet rides on it. Kinda sad to have had to forcibly donate it to the public “charity”, but it gave me a great excuse to snatch the Undefeated 2. And oh mannn, this bike was definitely a worthy upgrade! Even made me feel at peace with being violated by theft lol

This bike is probably the funnest bike I’ve ever ridden on! VERY happy with it! And if this one gets stolen, I’m probably gonna get the same one again - unless they come out with an Undefeated 3 lol.

Thanks for existing, State!

Solid ripper

I shopped around for a while and this seems to be by far the best bang for the buck. Bike is super light, very rigid, and definitely fast. The stock crankset feels great and love the look with that solid chainring. The rear tire clearance is extremely close as delivered, mine rubbed a tiny bit on the first ride, re-tensioned the chain after it had a chance to break in, and it's all good. Warranty registration was super simple as well. There were a few notable scratches on the frame when I unboxed it, but between those and burnt paint from the tire rub it's already got a character all it's own lol. I'm hard on my gear, so a few cosmetic blemishes are the least of my worries, especially with a bike that rides this good for this price 👍

Undefeated Track - Pearl / Tie-Dye
brilliantly toned psychedelic visuals combine with top of the range materials

The new Undefeated line-up has been re-engineered with Y9 aluminum, based on 6061 Aluminium but with added titanium, giving it improved hardness and tensile strength over its predecessor. This new-alloy composition allows for the thinnest possible wall thickness to be used, thereby reducing overall weight.

Straight out of the box, the Undefeated is a race-ready beast of a machine built upon the original Undefeated's winning pedigree. Designed for mastering fixed gear crits, The Undefeated is our lightest production frame ever, featuring Y9 double-butted aluminum alloy tubing, an oversized tapered head tube and an Essor USA full carbon fork that come together to create a stiff, responsive, and fast ride.

The Undefeated complete build features premier, competition-grade components. The Essor USA Aerodash Crankset is built with 7075 aluminum and uses an external bottom bracket to ensure maximum power transfer, while the seamless construction promotes smooth airflow over the crank for greater aerodynamics. The Essor USA Bolt v2 Wheel Set features a large cutout flange design on the hubs to improve stress distribution while also reducing weight; making the wheel set light enough for competition and durable enough to take a beating on the streets. Compact Drop Bars round out the complete build by providing comfort and quick transitions between hand placements.
