I purchased a bike for my husband during a Black Friday sale. It was sent to the wrong side of the country, came a week late and was severely damaged to the point that the bike shop said we needed to get a new one. I contacted state bike and they had a new one sent out to me immediately. the mistake was definitely on FedEx for shipping it all around our country, but state took full responsibility and made sure I was made whole. Thanks guys! Ill be buying myself a state bike here shortly for my bday. Oh and my husband rides 14 miles a day to and from work, he loves the ride and how smooth his new commute is!

Love the bike! Great ride quality and responsiveness. However, I believe the screws for the brake levers were incorrect and that led to two stripped brake levers. Good thing my local bike shop gave me a hand and threw in a pair.

Bike arrived in great condition, except rear brakes were loose and not working. A washer and thread-locking fluid was needed to get the breaks to fit correctly.
I really like the lightness of the bike and its style. Be prepared to stand and crank on hills.

I had the bike delivered to my LBS for assembly, and they reported no issues with the condition that bike was received. I have really enjoyed the stiff ride of the 4130 steel frame and 46x16 is a nice ratio up small hills and works well even against the wind. I have made excuses almost every other day to take it out around town. State's self-described drab green frame often elicits second looks, and its design was called sick. I am very happy with the bikes design and performance. My only minor negative is the sizing of the bike. I am a rather lanky 6'0 so thought the 59 inch would be perfect, but it actually seems slightly small, so maybe I could have sized up to the 62 -- I could've done more research on sizing myself, but it would be helpful to have more detailed sizing on the website.

I love the bike so far but ordered a U Lock to come with it. The mount was missing 2 bolts and seemingly a buffer as it’s loose on the frame.
Can you resend?

The bike is great, nothing to complain about. It would be great if the bottom of the fork can be reinforced and covered for shipping. It is sharp enough to cut through the box. One side was having a hard time fitting wheel, probably deformed due to shipping. But nothing too bad and the wheel fits with a little force.
