I ordered a bike. It arrived. I ride it. Get one or don't, nobody cares.

I love the bike. It's snappy. The gear ratio works out well for my commute and works surprisingly well up some decent climbs. I have yet to have to walk it. The bike was packaged nicely with no dings or scratches when it arrived. The only 2 minor complaints that I have are 1) I opted for drop bars and the brake levers supplied do not fit on the bars in a safe/usable position (clamp too small). I had to order a lever with a 31.8 mm clamp to get it further inboard towards the stem. 2) I was told that the bike will accomodate up to 32c tires so I mounted some nice all-weather 28c tires but the rear did not clear the rear brake mount with the supplied chain. An easy $15 dollar fix for a new chain. Those are minor complaints in my opinion but overall the bike is wonderful. I have received many compliments and I absolutely love riding it. Matter of fact, I already put my geared bikes away for the winter. Thanks State!

This is the first fixed gear I have ever owned and I can say with confidence that it has become on of my favorite cycling styles. Not only is this bike responsive and rigid, but its stock components are tough as nails. I got hit by a cop cruiser while riding that bike and flew into a tree, the bike was totally fine. Not even a scratch . Super happy with it. If you’re reading this review to judge whether or not you want to buy one for yourself, scroll back up to the top of the page and hit “buy now”. 5'9 32 inch inseam, size 55 is perfect. Was looking for a track bike that didn't break the bank and this was a great fit, quality frame with room to upgrade components. Has been taking sprints like a champ and has felt phenomenal. The clear coat may be a bit on the thin side but bikes are made to be ridden, not to be displayed on a wall. Out of the box, I have no complaints, very happy it accepts thicker tires (have 25s on at the moment and there is still plenty of room for some 28s with some people putting 32s on). Highly recommend this as a sick street bike or a fantastic entry track bike.

Riding in similar weather conditions I’m averaging about 1mph faster average than my 24lb rhymes with introspect single-speed bike. It’s an instant upgrade. I was skeptical at first because I read that aluminum frame bikes ride more harsh than steel but rest assured this bike takes those worries away. No more sore butt and numb nuts, this bike absorbs shock and vibrations better than my steel bike. Comfort is very important to me because where I ride only about half the route is smooth. It also looks amazing

Shout outs to SBC for keeping the single speed and fixed gear game strong!!! Amazing crew and great service picking this up at the warehouse. This bike is so slick and buttery. Very simple in nature yet so precise of a machine. Got me out in the streets trying out for MASH PHX!!!

I just rolled over 100 miles on this bike. I really enjoy it. Here's some thoughts:
1. The lightweight frame is really nice, and much faster than my older, faster bike.
2. All the colors are great, imo. I like the raw Aluminum. It reminds me of the Silver Surfer. It's a very low key looking frame, and I have been asked what it was a few times by people who liked the aesthetic.
3. It's odd that State splits the reviews for this bike up by color. I can't imagine the color has much effect on the performance. That said, I don't think they have made a colorway for this frame that didn't look amazing.
4. I am 6'4" and got a 62cm frame. It fits perfectly.

This bike was delivered fast and was super easy to put together. Very sleek, light weight and a super smooth ride. I recommend this bike to anyone looking for a new fixed gear. The price was also reasonable, can’t really complain much at all about this bike.

Sweet bike for bombing the streets or the track! I have read reviews and rode other bikes while trying to narrow down my decision. I chose the black label and have no regrets. Nice stiff bike with excellent power transfer. Always getting compliments and questions about riding fixed. Buy the bike and ride with momentum!

The Black Label Series complete builds are available in a wide range of colors, including ultra-limited single production-run colorways and are stacked deep with premier parts and components.
