I absolutely love my Megalith Fat Bike and it is the perfect mountain bike for Florida trails. I have been riding it 3x a week since I bought it in December 2016 without any problems. Quality is great and I love the pureness and simplicity of the single speed. Very happy customer!
This is a great bike dollar-for-dollar. The only problem is I've had so much fun riding it I wish I would have ponied up a bit more cash for a fatty that has some more features that would let me ride in in more situations. (i.e. fork and a 1x11 drivetrain)
Was looking for an affordable fatbike and the Megalith fit the bill. Couldn't find much info on it so I went in blind and I definitely have no regrets. The bike arrived in 2 boxes and was packaged extremely well. Assembly was straightforward, just grease the appropriate areas as with any bike build (professional assembly is required for warranty purposes). I'm 5'4" with a 30" inseam and the bike fit like a glove, I swapped to riser bars with lock-on grips. First ride on the trail, I was absolutely amazed at how quick and nimble this 43lb bike was. I threw everything I could at it and it performed flawlessly. 3-4ft drops? Not a problem. Tight singletrack? No worries there. Climbing was surprisingly easy with all that weight and the fat tires kept traction in mud, gravel, sand, everything. The BB5's perform well as expected but I'm spoiled by my BB7's adjustability. On my second ride I flew into a tree while avoiding a rider around a blind corner and bent my derailleur hanger 90 degrees. The tensioner twisted itself into the rim and it pulled a spoke through the rim. Bummer. Threw the bike on the repair stand and hammered out the rim, straightened the hanger, and voila! Repaired (will replace rims later). Overall the bike has been a blast to ride and I absolutely love the thing. It never fails to put a smile on my face and the bottle opener comes in handy after a long ride. If you're in the market for a good, simple, bomb-proof, all-rounder, this is the bike for you.
Great dirt bike and sand and snow, in fact with Its tires I can ride on water.
I Can't Wait Until I Can Afford One. So I Can Enjoy it On The Dunes Of Glamis, California. jc. jaime
