Bikes & beer are a match made in heaven. That's why a collab with one of our regional favorites was a no-brainer. Wicked Weed's wonderful beer has blessed our bike bags on numerous occasions, only to crack one open as we look out over the great landscape that makes up Tennessee and North Carolina. We believe in giving back to that landscape and that's why these are, yet another pair of Gloves that Give!!
Gloves that Give is a program in which a portion of a particular glove's sales will give back to an organization that we think is making a positive difference in the world (often on two wheels). A portion of the proceeds of this glove, as well as the proceeds of Wicked Weed's Appalachia Beer will go towards the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy (SAHC).
The Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy (SAHC) protects
places for outdoor recreation — including grassy balds in the Highlands of
Roan, forests and trails in the Black Mountains, streams that flow into the
French Broad River, and wildlife corridors adjoining Great Smoky Mountains
National Park.
Since 1974, the SAHC has protected almost 80,000 acres in
the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee for:
•Water quality in streams and rivers
• Habitat for wildlife and rare plants
• Places for people to enjoy outdoor recreation
• Farmland for local food production
•Scenic viewsheds of the Southern Appalachians
SAHC also responsibly stewards protected lands and
conservation easements, and connects people to
unique places through guided hikes, workshops,
and other outings.
