Selle Italia loves your butt

Great saddle at a great price! It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I am a turbo lover from way back and this seat is awesome!

Seat very comfortable. No butt sores even when not riding in bike shorts. Game changer for riding the saddle

Selle Italia - Model X -Green Plus Superflow Saddle.

I got my bike and replaced the standard saddle, with The Model X right out of the box. For the first few miles, I'd wondered if I should have stuck with the original saddle, because it seemed a little stiff? But after a few more miles, it got more comfy as you rode on it; and I'll say that the combination of that larger steel frame, 700c gravel tires, and the Selle Italia saddle is just silky-smooth on pavement, and better on light gravel than I'd hoped for!
That bike feels like a big, beefy, vintage European cycle from a generation or two ago, which matches it's big, beefy, vintage rider from a generation or two ago that loves this bike!
Here's a tip: Buy a tube of lithium, and assemble it yourself if it's not too nerve-racking for you? You're going to be fairly frustrated with the derailer adjustment, but don't worry about it; just take it to your local shop and they'll adjust it and check your assembly work too! (House of Wheels in Owosso Michigan charged me $20.)

comfy

The seat is so much more comfortable than the stock black label saddle. the only downside for me is that it is a little sticky or grabby when wearing normal pants...any slick synthetic fabric would be fine but jeans carhartts etc will get pulled around

Very comfortable

I’m a larger guy 300lbs the soft pad and small form factor are a relief compared to other saddles I’ve used.

Good Upgrade

Had a generic 20$ seat before this, instantly felt the difference lol. Feels like my fixed gear bike all of a sudden had a gel seat cushion and suspension! Great upgrade nonetheless. Would even consider paying 20$ more for their next model after this.

Not for me

It's a decently comfortable saddle but not my size. I'm a dude but I got wide hips apparently.

I thought by upgrading from the stock saddle to this Selle I’d be doing myself a big favor and hoping to set the bike up for many years of enjoyable riding. The saddle turned out to be quite hard and uncomfortable, not breaking in after many hours and miles. It became so bad I took it off and put the stock saddle on for a ride yesterday. It had more squish which was nice but the lack of cutout for perineum was not- the only redeeming feature of the Selle other than its looks. I’m disappointed but it’s part of the process of finding the right equipment.
