I had purchased a 2018 wabi road and after a couple hundred miles on it, one of the spokes on the rear wheels started coming loose and squeaking. I would tighten it and it would come loos a few days later. So I decided to get a new wheel set. I didn’t wanna pay $500+ but I also didn’t want trash. After talking to a friend who had the first version of these I decided to grab em. I never really understood what people meant by “stiff wheels” til I got these. These things are stiff! And light! Great wheels and probably one of the best deals for the money!

Wheels showed up quickly and they looked outstanding. Mounted the rear, spun it while on a stand and noticed it was significantly out of round and the dish was off too. State was extremely quick to respond with good offers to either replace the wheel or reimburse the repair. Great customer service. I like the wheels, but I would advise purchasers to look closely for defects before the first ride.

As my 1st wheel set purchase I couldn’t be more happy & satisfied with it. They look great, ride well & are really light than my other wheels. They were easy to mount with tube & tires & the out come of it looks great!! Not too expensive yet for that price is great & overall happy with my purchase. Like the saying goes you look good, you feel good, you play good.

Just recently purchased these to upgrade my Black Label v2 Frameset. As you always should do with wheelsets purchased online, I took these to my LBS and had them checked for trueness, and they passed with flying colors. Everything seems and feels smooth so far, and I can definitely notice a significant weight difference between these and my old, heavier, and cheaper wheels. As always, very happy with my State Bicycle products.

I bought these Bolts as replacements for my previous wheels, the State Bicycle "Lo-Pros". The Bolts weigh about the same, but feel a little faster on the flats, likely because of their deeper dish. They came fairly true out of the box but I did true them a little on the stand at home. I took them out for some mixed terrain riding, including gravel and a few curb drops. They seem to be holding up just fine. Overall good wheels for the price.

Back wheel came un-true, which was annoying. Now that I got it tuned tho, it’s riding well. Also, it seems like a minor thing, but the wheels have the “STATE” logo and branding on them. I have an Essor carbon fork, so I was expecting the logo/branding to match, as all the photos have the Essor logo on there. Kinda disappointed in that tbh. Again, seems minor, but what’s the point of having the logo on there if it’s not to make it look good? And it’s part of the aesthetic of the bike as a whole. Meh. Would probably do 3.5 stars based on those things, but the good performance now that they’re trued is enough to give them 4, and after all, they’re meant to be ridden, so that’s what should matter the most. For the price, you aren’t really gonna find better.

Wheels are great value for the price. Wheels did arrive with a few dings where the wheels touched together during shipping. I also noticed that neither wheel was true - both required adjustment. Wheels are light, perform well, and the rim cross-section made mounting the tires easy. The seam on each wheel where the rim-ends are joined together create a pretty significant flat-spot, but that seems to be expected with rims/wheels in this price-range.

I’m still breaking them. So far they look great, they shipped fast.

Haven't ridden a ton on them yet, but these arrived last week and I just took them into the shop for truing and an overall tune up.
Already getting lots of compliments from people on the looks, but I hope these will last many years to come.
