State handled boths stiuations with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. Thank you
Ordered my bike and got it pretty quickly. It was pretty easy to set (use a professional unless you are one yourself), and is pretty comfortable. The seat could be better, but it’s probably one of the more comfortable ones on a road bike. I ride it for about 13 miles at a time and my sit bones are not screaming. The color is gorgeous, and the leather details super nice. I can’t wait to customize this bike! It runs super smooth on the road and overall is a comfortable ride.
I love the cruiser style and color. I didn't want to add a basket or anything else because its heavy enough as is.
Smooth ride! I love the vintage look. I opted for the 3 speed upgrade because it is mountainous where I live and it’s a little too difficult with a fixed. I could use a little more padding on the seat but other than that it’s golden.
Purchased this bike for my wife because she loved the style and had been wanting a good city cruiser. After receiving the bike we were both blown away by the color and small details that really speak to State's reputation. I ride a state 4130 El Toro frame from back in the day and have never been disappointed, will continue to buy from State. On a side note, the bike purchased was a men's bike and came with a standard men's seat which she found a bit uncomfortable, swapped out with a women's seat and she said everything was perfect.
Bike was sold as having a 3-speed Shimano Nexus hub, came with Sturmey Archer hub. Didn't find out about that until after assembly was paid for. Not much of a difference between the two, just annoying to find out about it after the fact. Bike is a bit heavy, but very solid. Wish fenders were a bit more secure to alleviate the rattling noise, but managed to get that fixed up. It's a decent bike for the discounted price for sure. Would probably never pay retail price that's listed though.
Shipped very quickly and quality product. The color looks great!
The hubs were extremely too tight. Wheels were so out of true. Handle bar “leather and twine” seems to be already sliding around after just 1 ride.
This bike is fun and solid. To a certain extent you get what you pay for, with parts that are less durable (I broke a pedal in the first block and a half of riding, the rack is a chrome film that is already flaking) but that work just fine (and the stuff that broke got replaced immediately with no questions asked). Customer service was great replacing the broken stuff and also helping me find a size. I am going to buy another one to have at the house for guests! It's adorable, is geared well for rolling terrain, and fun to cruise around on.
