Thanksgiving Throwdown V: Race Recap

Every year on Thanksgiving Eve, fixed gear cyclists gather at Tempe Beach Park for the highly anticipated Thanksgiving Throwdown. The race has become the biggest alleycat (in terms of riders and prizes) in Arizona and this year was no different.

For Thanksgiving Throwdown V, there were 2 ways riders could score swag. The first was to find one of 14 Ass-Savers hidden around Tempe. The second was for the podium; a tough 4-repeat climb up the infamous 56th Street. Here's how it went down.

This is what the racers were looking for:

Aside from this being a really fun event, State Bicycle Co. was able to raise a lot of food for those in need this Holiday season with the canned-food donations from our participants. We want to thank all of those involved from the organizers, the racers, and most of all our sponsors below. Can't wait for Thanksgiving Throwdown VI!
