Bag it

I had originally ordered the longer tube bag, but when it came in, it was longer than expected( that’s what she said). It was an easy process to exchange and I really dig my new wedge bad.

Tan Wedge Framebag a must-have

I love my wedge framebag from State Bicycle. Good construction. Plenty of space for spare tube, tools, plus snacks and extra water. I also think the tan is a great color option when most of the framebags are black or a variation on black.

The wedge bag fits great! Can’t wait to use it for more gravel adventures.

Solid frame bag

Simple, solid frame bag! It's enough to fit a 2.5 liter bladder and some bike tools. I really like the one big pocket and one small pocket design. Velcro on bag is super sturdy and in all of the right places. I'm definitely not concerned about ever losing this frame bag on rough terrain!

Love the tan wedge bag!

Can’t speak enough to how much I love this bag.

First off — it looks amazing. The tan color was exactly what I was looking for. Looks good and will still look good even with some dirt and slots right into my bike’s front triangle (Canyon Grail 7) perfectly.

The big pocket opens from the left and is much roomier than expected. Can fit a bunch of snacks and even a couple bottles if you want to. The right side has a smaller pocket which is good for a wallet, earphones, keys etc. But I love the other little features that I honestly didn’t think about or expect out of the bag.

There are plenty of sturdy loops along the bottom of the bag, and a couple smaller hooks along the back, all of which can be used to mount or hook pretty much anything. There’s also a couple of small loops on the front of the bag that can be used to hang it somewhere when it’s not on your bike. Lastly, my favorite is the long thin sleeve that runs along the top of the bag which would be right under the top tube as it hangs from the frame. Perfect size to stash a long mini-pump for use on those longer rides.

One thing to note is that if you have a bottle cage mounted above your down tube, it will run into the bottom of the bag. I’d recommend a shorter bottle there, and to mainly drink out of the seat-tube mounted bottle if you’re doing a longer ride with this bag.

Very good frame bag

Been looking for a frame bag. This one was the size I was after at a decent price for a quality piece of gear. Nice large compartment with a separate smaller compartment for a phone, keys, and wallet. The ONLY thing that that I don’t like is the top Velcro attachment system. When I say overkill I mean it. I’m sure I could hang from the bag if I strapped it to a pull-up bar. And the flaps that protect the frame from the Velcro are the same. I suppose if your top tube was about a 6” diameter it’d still fit around. Just way too much material and way too wide. Had to do surgery in order for the brake cable (that’s it, no shifty cables needed) to move freely.
Buuuut, besides all that, I’d still recommend cause it’s a solid bag for a reasonable price.
Ride on!

A travel purse for your bike

For endurance rides, I roll on a size 55 Orbea Avant, which features hydroformed top and down tubes with large cross-sectional areas. This bag is cut generously wide, and has long straps that accommodate the frame well after some fiddling. The smaller of the two pockets easily fits my 6.6" long smartphone, and the cavernous main pocket holds my telescoping portable pump, snacks, supplements, wallet, and glasses with significant room to spare. While the down tube cage only holds short bottles and is harder to use with the bag installed, it's a worthwhile tradeoff to get the peace of mind on long rides that comes from being able to carry lots of stuff. There are also loops on both ends so you can convert this to a shoulder bag with your own strap if you want.

I haven't tested the long-term durability or water resistance, though the coarse nylon feels like it will hold up well, and I always keep bagged anything that can't get wet anyway. Nothing strikes me as particularly cheaply made--the stitches don't look ready to pop when the bag is modestly loaded, the top tube hook-and-loop is very strong, the green color is quite striking, and the zippers work smoothly. Definitely worth the price and I look forward to lots of miles!
