The State Bicycle Co. Commuter Sling/Hip Bag is the perfect accessory for cycling, camping, events, shopping or just about any adventure you may have on the horizon. State Bicycle Co. really hit it out of the park with this bag! Zippers are sturdy and guck covered (not official name). The one thing I do wish however is that the zippers had the zipper loop for easy one handed open like most of States’ other cycling bags. I am not sure if the bag itself is waterproof, however, the zippers are built tough and overlapped to keep dust and light water out. I was looking for a bag to tuck all my action camera stuff into, but I am SO looking forward to taking this on trips and other adventures besides cycling related. It’s like the perfect size with a great flare in style with its black and orange color. The build quality all around is great from the wide strap and buckle, guck covered zippers, inside net pocket, bottle holder with safety band that holds it in, to the padded channeled sweat pads to keep great air flow between you and the bag.
I am always looking for more bike gear, however, this bag is so much more. If you or someone you know are looking for a sling bag or fanny pack, I’m old school, then this is the bag for you. Normally I take a little extra nutrition, water. and patch kit, plus phone (when I actually need it) everything fits securely, would have been nice to include a divider inside, but for the price this fits the bill. To solve the issue, I have an EDC style pouch which I toss in for the loose stuff.

So far, so good: these are thoughtfully designed well-made hip bags— big open main pocket, solid zippers, strong clips, wide comfortable straps. Bought 2 and clipped together to make one belt with two bags… one for each hip. Carry water bottle, phone, tools…you name it. These are sure to sell out once everyone steals my brilliant, albeit nerdy, idea. Wish I had ordered both at same time to save on shipping costs. I think that I deserve more than a 10 percent coupon code for this rather clever upsell. Shipping alone is 25 percent of the cost of one so definitely plan your order. Otherwise, good deal.

This is a great quality hip bag/fanny pack whatever you want to call it the padding is nice and thick. The bag itself has a ton of capacity built into it, I can see using this for more than just biking. Can easily work for hiking or just walking around with plenty of padding for phones, camera, etc.

The bag is super comfy. I wear mine around my waist when riding my fixed gear because my frame doesn’t have a bottle holder.

This is the most epic bag for hauling around my Sony camera with me while riding. It is super comfortable and has many different wearing positions. I am able to fit the camera and an extra lens in the bag as well as some snacks! This bag is awesome because not only do I look cool, but I feel cool.
