I’ve been running the All-Road 2 crankset from State Bicycle Co. for a while now, and it’s one of those parts you stop thinking about, which is honestly the best compliment I can give. It’s noticeably lightweight when you first pick it up, and that translates on the bike. Acceleration feels crisp, especially when getting back on the pedals after coasting or powering up short climbs.
What surprised me most is how well it balances that low weight with real toughness. My riding isn’t gentle. Gravel chatter, rough pavement, and the occasional poorly chosen line are all part of the routine, and this crankset just shrugs it off. No creaks, no weird flex, no drama. When you really stomp on it, the stiffness is obvious. Power transfer feels direct and solid, like everything you’re putting in is going straight to the rear wheel instead of disappearing into flex.
One of my favorite practical features is how easy it is to swap chainrings.
