Look great, but a maintenance nightmare

I love the look, but the narrow profile makes it INCREDIBLY difficult to install tubes & tires. I've wrestled with them, paid someone to do it, tried dish soap to allow the tires to slip over the tube, and alternative seating options. What has been the problem is tube hemorrhage because space is at a premium. I'm going to keep trying (I've only had them a week and only been able to actually ride them for 1 day due to fighting with tube/tire installations), but if this keeps being a problem, I'm going to have to rethink them. Beautiful though

Fuck yeah!

Dude bros. Sister sisters. Everyone in between. Those flip-flop deep vee rims are the Shiznit. Sorry to get retro, but not sorry. High gloss chrome. Slap those bitches on my surly steamroller, and I rolled like steam. Fuck yeah. No need for skinny jeans, no handlebar mustache – just handlebars, mustache style. Tears up the dirt. Wheels that were gravel grinding before that was even a genre. Y’all kick some serious ass, because you make it accessible, street level, fuck that elite shit, fuck that carbon shit… Give me some steel, hard ass, hard core state bicycle shit any day

Wanted gold. White will do. Excessive packaging, wasteful and bad for environment

Help someone buttered my bike and I cant get up.

Silver deep V wheelset, I'm a happy camper. These wheels are smooth as butter like the other reviews say. I definitely noticed an increase in speed when I mounted them on my Univega. Definitely considering another wheelset from State in the future.

dang.

These wheel are smooth as butter my dude. The price is great as well. Let me know when you find a company selling a cheaper wheel set with a fixed cog but you probably wont. The packaging was done very carefully and they arrived quickly. 10/10

Roll smooth, arrived true, but a bit heavy

I got these to replace the wheels on my black label. I wanted the deeper profile look and I can't afford 60mm carbons right now so I was hoping a 40mm aluminium would be an okay compromise. They came trued out of the box but the axle took a bit of uncomfortable force to get seated in the essor carbon forks on my black label. The offset seems to be about a 1mm difference on the freewheel side of the hub than the black label medium profile rear wheel so I needed a spacer for proper alignment. I definitely feel the extra weight but in lieu of saving up for carbons that I'd feel comfortable commuting on they'll do the job, I just need to get stronger. I have about 100 miles on them and they're still true, I also train on them for 60+ mile rides and 20 mile sprints and there's no issues. Plus they look good. For the price they're a great deal.

Good value

Using on a commuter over some rough Tucson "roads". Probably have ~500 miles on them now and they're holding very solid and true. Look good to boot. Happy with these
