Cheap and poor design

This is such an integral piece of the bike and it is made out of such cheap metal. Breaks where the screw mount hole is located whenever the chain comes off and jams between the cassette and spokes.

Hello, thank you for writing a review. Our RD hangers are made out of the same industry standard as others.

The derailleur hanger is a sacrificial part, this means that it is designed to break before the frame does.

Due to the primary function of the derailleur hanger being to save the frame in the event of crash or an obstacle hitting the derailleur, it must be made of a soft material so that it breaks quickly on impact, leaving the frame unscathed. This also means that the hanger is very susceptible to bending on smaller impacts.

Lots of room for improvement in my opinion

I understand that the hanger is built to be weaker than the frame but I feel like it is too weak to properly do it's job. I've only had my bike work about a month and I'm already on my second hanger and even that one just broke on a pretty relaxed ride. I'd like to see at least an option for a stronger hanger or at the very least an accessory to help mitigate the chances of the chain getting out of place so easy.

Shipped quickly but derailleur hanger is expensive

I know derailleur hangers are expensive across the industry but it still does not make sense to me. $18 for a tiny piece of metal.
