1x12 All Road Initial Review

500 miles in group-set is performing well. no complaints. solid shifting up and down, braking is solid - I am huge fan of mechanically activated disc brakes and mechanical/hydro combo working great. shifters are comfortable. Incredible value and option for name brands.

A Fantastic 1x groupset

I’ve been running the 12-speed 1x Groupset for a while now, and the biggest takeaway is just how good the price-to-performance is. I went in expecting a solid budget drivetrain, but it honestly rides closer to something that costs a lot more.
Setup was straightforward, and indexing was surprisingly easy. A few small adjustments and it clicked right into place with clean, consistent shifts. Once dialed, it stays that way. Shifting feels positive without being clunky, and it holds up well under load whether you’re climbing or accelerating. It’s not fussy, which I really appreciate on a drivetrain meant to be ridden hard, not constantly tinkered with.
What really impressed me is the range. I was able to push the rear derailleur to a 52t cassette without drama, which opens up a ton of climbing ability. For mixed terrain or loaded rides, that extra low gearing makes a real difference and adds to the versatility of the whole setup.
After plenty of miles, it’s proven reliable and easy to live with. It doesn’t pretend to be a high-end race groupset — it’s just a tough, well-performing drivetrain that delivers where it counts. If you want modern 12-speed performance without spending premium money, this group is an easy recommendation.
