Used this to convert my 10+ year old trek fx from 3x9 to new 1x11. Needed a 45mm chain line and accomplished this by mounting the chain ring flipped around and behind the spider. The slight offset of the teeth on the ring made my chain line perfect on my 135mm hub with the new 11speed cassette. The mounting bolts recessed on the back side and worked perfectly. The bottom bracket was also a nice upgrade from the old square taper style. Overall I’m very pleased with this set, looks and works great! Also like the availability and affordability of the different ring sizes.

Added this to my 6061 All Road frame build with a Microshift Advent X. If I had it to do over the Sram Apex group would come close, but the State cranks look great on the bike. Chain retention is good, everything fit together well. I wish you could order the cranks with choice of chainring.

Easy install. No complaints. The crank cap is a 10 mm Allen so make sure you have that handy so you can complete the install.

It's a good kit at the price point. If I could give one gripe.. I tried my best to not remove paint inside the bottom bracket splines with the park tool BBT-9 wrench. Unfortunately, there is a little wear there just from installing. Certainly not enough of a problem to not buy this kit and maybe it's not a problem with a better tool. But we're all on a budget here I'm sure and it's something to note if you're obsessive compulsive, like me!

I bought these to replace a square-tapered cransket on a Giant Escape 3. I prefer the 1x setup over anything else. This was the perfect option. Very smooth and fast compared to the original crankset! Highly recommend if you’re looking something budget-friendly as well :)

The crank is nice, came with a few scratches but nothing too big to really care about. Well built. Had a hard time tightening The bottom bracket, it felt like the threads didn’t want to work right, got it in with some effort. The Bb center is plastic.
I give the crank 5 stars and 2 to the Bb
