Fun ride

I bought with the intention of using as a Sunday morning ride to coffee bike, for that it performs admirably. Lately I have been taking it out on some longer as well.

Bike draws a lot of attention with its timeless vintage look. I’ve actually been asked multiple times about it. For me, this bike is the ultimate city bike, that doubles as a roadie. It’s fun to ride.

Easy assembly too. (About 20 minutes with coffee and a bagel consumed during process)

Amazing bike, even better deal for the $$$

This is my first road bike ever. Personally, I have learned so much about road bikes since receiving this bike (I grew up riding fixed gear bikes) The 8-speed set up is absolutely perfect for any fixie riders trying to learn the world of gears/road bikes. The Hunter Green paint is even more beautiful in person. I get compliments all all day when I commute on it around town. The steel frame is GANGSTER. I will say that the down tube shifter does take some practice. But, after your second or third ride on it, you will be slap shifting around corners with incredible speed. I could not be happier with my investment in this bike. I HIGHLY recommend this bike to anyone who askes my opinion.

4130 Road hunter green

Bike overall is pretty good, though there are some small quality control issues, as well as areas that need to be tuned by professionals. A little disappointing that it cannot be ridden out of the box. However, overall a good bike.

Beautiful bike

This is my second bike from state bike, it just can't ignore how they created such a beautiful retro bike I have compliment from a few people it comes 90% assembled derailleur needs slight adjustment, however, I would recommend to change the saddle, my other bike is a 4130 Chromoly matter black single/fixer also I changed the saddle, for the price can't beat at it. I personally Recommended

Extremely happy that I decided to get one of these bikes. I appreciate that they were able to add multiple speeds while preserving their signature simplicity. Definitely worth the money and more.

Big fan

Ok this bike is great, seriously just great. It does everything I need it to. Maybe I'm just really stoked about it because my previous bike was literally 60 years old. I currently use this very new bike to commute to work and everywhere in between. I am in absolutely in love with it, and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a very light new bike, with a classic look. One minor disappointment I've gotten over since receiving my bike is how it was packaged and shipped. There was no padding in the box, so the box looked pretty rough when it got here. Yes, that's the problem of the shipping company but, a lil extra protection inside the box wouldn't hurt. This caused part of my handle bar to arrive cracked. As someone who's never put together a bike I would've loved an email prior to receiving my bike explaining the state in which it would arrive and what tools I'd need to get it together. Thankfully I had a hex key that fit perfectly that was from assembling some IKEA furniture. I then brought it for a safety check and tune up. Since then things have been great. I'm seriously very happy with this bike, looking forward to all the miles we'll log together.

Excellent Road Bike

Easy to set up, rides so smooth and a fantastic fit! (I'm 5'11 and got the 55cm) and I have zero complaints as it took two rides to break it in and everything is great! I rode 50 miles yesterday effortlessly, the eight gears have a very nice range for hills as well. Fantastic bike for the price point and beyond! P.S. the Hunter Green colorway is a banger! Gotten many compliments on the sleek look so far.

4130 Road Hunter Green

This is my first bike from State Bicycle Co. and I couldn’t be happier. This bike is amazing. First of all, you can’t take your eyes off of it. It looks beautiful, especially the hunter green frame with the brown accent bar tape. Second, this bike rides like a dream. Effortlessly fast and smooth as silk. I can take it out for a spin on the city streets, or out on the road for a full day ride. The down tube shifter is a really cool feature, provides smooth, easy shifting with a sleek, classic look. The simplicity is another nice aspect to this bike, the 8 gears are a perfect range for taking on all types of hills. The assembly was easy as well. I’m 5’10” and went with the 55 cm size frame and it’s a great fit for me. I would recommend this bike to anyone.
