I bought my first Turbo in 1984 and still have it and use it, although it's prettty beat up. Over the years I've had many bikes and switched to different, more modern Selle Italia saddles like the Filte, Flite Gel, and SLR Gel. Now that I'm more than 35 years older, I'm less concerned with speed and more with comfort. When Selle Italia came out with the Turbo 1980, I started switching over to it. I've many bikes and about a half-dozen now have these Turbo 1980 saddles. Their length and width are ideal for me, there is just enough padding, and the slight concave shape at the center make it easy on the perineum area. The cover is Lorica not leather as the originals were. Initially I was concerned, but I found that Lorica is an excellent synthetic. Perspiration does not build up on it, it does not wear out, and the smooth ones allow for easy fore or aft movement on the saddle as I change positions slightly for climbing or descending. I've never used the Nubuck model so I can't speak to it. The Turbo 1980 is my once, and present, and future saddle. State Bicycle shipped quickly and the price is right.

I bought a white and black Turbo last June from State Bicycle for $59.99 each.
Is this the same saddle, now being sold for $130? Really? For a vinyl Turbo? Ouch.

I rode a Turbo saddle in the 80s. I am very excited that SBC is carrying the re-issues of this saddle. As always, it was shipped quickly and I am very satisfied with my purchase. And my bike looks pretty.

This saddle does not seem to fit my rear. have taken a couple of 15 mile rides and still have pain while riding. May give it a couple more rides befor I make a change.

First of all - this saddle looks amazing. Perfect compliment to the Black Label fixie I recently purchased for my commute. Secondly, for me, the fit is pretty good - saddles are such personal purchases and everyone’s fit is going to be different.

This white saddle will look great on the mountain bike I am restoring. I bought it new in 1994. It will be painted black with gold trim, and the white saddle will provide a nice contrast.

Swapped out my 80s original saddle on my Mirage for the Selle Italia Turbo and now I can ride a lot further in style and comfort.
