The brakes are not amazing and my fork came bent making it hard to take the front wheel on and off. However, for the price the bike is great and I cannot wait to take it on many bikepacking adventures!

I’ve been away from biking for a couple of years now, I guess sometimes life just gets in the way. All the while, I had family and friends persuading me get back on the bike, so I causally started looking for some gravel options. After checking a couple reviews I decided to check out State, and have been blown away ever since. Their sales and service team answered all my questions, and I decided to pull the trigger. I received my order in a matter of days and after having their recommended bike shop complete the professional assembly, I was back in the saddle. First, I was totally stoked at the looks of this bike. The olive matte with black contrast is just cool A.F. (already received several compliments). And the feel of this bike is amazing. I’m used to MTB setups, but even with the 700cc wheel set this thing feels just as solid and stable as anything else I’ve ridden before, but much much whippier and responsive. I’ve only got a few rides under my belt, but thing has relit a fire that I’ve been missing.
I mentioned their sales and service team earlier, even after my initial purchase they’ve been top notch. I ordered the extra 650b wheel set, but noticed they inadvertently sent another set of 700cc. No problem, I contacted them and within the hour I had a return label and the correct set was already on its way. Hats off to you SBC, you have a huge fan here!

Love this bike. Handles well on road and dirt. I put ergonomic grips and bull horn bar ends and a longer stem on it and now it rides and feels great.
I’m 6’ and bought the recommended size. East assembly. Will be great for mixed gravel rides and bikepacking.

Had some issues with the initial delivery, but Chris was quick to get everything resolved. Still finishing up the build, but gf is super happy. By far the best deal in gravel if you're looking for steel. Size XS 43cm, 650b.

Love this bike! Rides smooth. Can handle a ton of different terrain. Super fun and comfortable. Love the color I purchased too.

This is a wonderful bike for the cost. Well made, rides super smooth, and looks sharp to boot! Highly recommended for anyone looking to buy a good city/gravel bike without spending $1,000+.

Love my new bike, when looking for a bike and test riding I was told that it had to feel perfect if I wanted to be motivated to ride consistently. And since I got the bike I’ve been riding every weekend. I might upgrade the saddle but I’m told by other experienced riders that I’ll get used to it. Five stars!

I love this bike! I did a lot of research looking for the best gravel bike under $1000, and this is it. Even the guys at my local bike shop (who wanted to sell me one of their bikes) agreed.
It's been a month or more. I'm riding twice a week. The bike feels great. I would definitely recommend this bike!
P.S. State Bicycle Co. has amazing customer service which gives me a lot of confidence and peace of mind.

I wasn’t sure where to begin with a gravel bike. I’ve rode road & hybrid bikes my whole life; seeking advice, a friend recommended State, and I couldn’t be happier! Already a good chunk of miles in, and I would recommend this bike to anyone.

Gearing up for an epic adventure? Upgrade your 4130 All-Road with the SBC Carbon Fiber “Monster Fork”. This fork is specifically designed for self-supported tours and races where carrying more water and gear is a necessity. The Monster Fork has the same disc brake flat-mounts and thru axle dropouts to interchange wheels. The fork also features “3-pack” mounts on each blade for racks, water bottles, and accessory cages. The Monster Fork also has fender mounts and a crown mount for racks or dynamo lights.
**please note the Barzo tires (650b) are not rated tubeless, while it may be possible to set these tubeless we can not guarantee compatibility. State Bicycle Co. recommends professional assembly for tubeless set ups.
