Best deal for good steel

I rode the V1 4130 for a few years and really fell in love. The bikes over deliver for the price every time for me. The udh internal routing and extra mount points were all perfect upgrades to an already great frame. I would argue that the clearance is exactly the same to the first though even though it’s now marketed as 2.4 on this version and only 2.1 on the last. I ran 2.4 on the V1 and it had the same amount of clearance as I do now on the the V2 with same wheel and tire set up. Was hoping to push a 2.5+ but there is no way it’s going past 2.4

Quality that Supersedes Cost

I ordered this frame and fork on a whim, to build a budget single speed gravel grinder. Upon receiving it and measuring the frame, I was skeptical the large was going to be large enough, however, I was assured by State Bike Co it would fit me at 6ft 1in, and it does. I built the frame with spare parts I had laying around, and some new ones like wheels, crank and brakes. I will say, coming in at 24lbs or so, it is a fun bike to thrash around town on. All the braze ons will benefit when fixing racks for touring, and I can easily swap on a bar end shifter and some gears when needed. If I am asked, would I recommend this product? Yes, I would and I have.

Frame is great, but derailleur hanger was bent

Paint is very nice, frame is well put together. Just a few issues. Some of the grommets for internal cable routing were difficult to remove. The UDH that came with the bike was bent during shipping, making it unusable.

Great bike for the price

Bought this raw phospate frame to build up an allroad adventure rig. It looks really nice with a glossed raw finish with nice touches with gold welds and patina. It's a little bit of a boat but it'll be okay for mucking around town and getting off road if needed. For the price you get a nicely built, sturdy, steel frame that looks just as nice, if not better than a lot of pricier ones. It's got plenty of bosses to add racks and what not but it's already pretty heavy so I kept it only to one front portuer rack for now. For a cruiser the steel fork looks and works fine, but I think if you're looking to use it for more serious riding you might want to get the carbon fork to cut the weight. Mine is at 27 lbs but it rides nice and smooth.

Good bike

My frame did arrive with a teeny tiny bit of rust, but for the raw frame, thats kind of a plus. Within like an hour of the package arriving I had emailed them, and the problem had been sorted! Stellar customer service!

Very impressed!

I'm building up the new State Bicycle Co. 4130 All-Road (UDH) and I'm very happy with the bike. I bought the framset and I'm custom building my bike for the 2025 season. The quality of the bike is great and the fit and finish is also top notch. Can't wait til spring to ride this! I highly recommend this bike.
