Solid entry level fixed

If you’re looking at this bike, chances are you know what you want: an entry level fixed gear bicycle that will work. Out of the box, this bike will perform just fine for the casual city cruiser or the eager weekend warrior. The (mostly) no-name components seem plenty capable of regular use for years to come. The wheels are a bit hefty (cartridge bearings are a nice touch) and will probably require regular truing, the drivetrain is smooth and quiet enough, the saddle will work, the frame is just as flexy, yet smooth as you’d expect from this steel, and the thing just looks damn good. I have chosen to replace/upgrade some of the components, not out of necessity, but simply because I enjoy wrenching on and nerding out on my bikes. I weighed many options in this price range and I’m glad I landed on this particular cycle. Be it a commuter, a project bike, or just an entry into the world of fixies, I’m sure you will not be disappointed. Pull the trigger. Get this neat, affordable bike. Be happy.

Family Issues Caused by SBC

There is beauty in simplicity and SBC's Core Line is one simple, stripped down bicycle beautifully put together. I love to keep it stock but my teenager daughter and I are taking turns riding this bike so I am replacing the seat post clamp to a quick-release one. We are bonding over this for our shared fun and joy riding this bicycle. My wife is insisting that I bought this for myself and not for our daughter but if the nagging doesn't stop i might have to get another one for my daughter again! And it might be the 4130 or the Black Label next time!

Sweet Ride for kicking around the city

I bought the Wulf as my daily commuter/kick around the city bike. First of all, the pictures don't do this bike justice. It just looks good.

As my first Fixie, it was and still is a bit of a challenge for me to get used too, coming from a geared roadie. But the bike is everything I expected and wanted. Sturdy and rugged to handle the Philadelphia street. Nimble enough for me to get through traffic. Solid enough for me to lock up outside and not worry about it. It looks great, in a very sleek and understated way, and feels good to ride.

Ricky’s bike

I really enjoyed the bike however since it was my very first fixie there are still many questions I have about accessories recommended or tools needed. I wish there was a video made by state that went over the fundamentals of owning and riding a fixie such as do’s and don’ts of riding in the city or maintenance on the bike. That would be really neat and a great way to positively put the State brand out there to the public.

Core-Line is a great introductory commuter bike

I just moved to Denver and this is my first city bike. I ride it daily to work about 2 miles both ways and it’s perfect for that commute. The reviews I have read suggest the seat is uncomfortable but I haven’t noticed that myself. It does everything I would want my bike to do and it’s sleek. I’ve received so many compliments on the matte black finish and the simple design. And it’s affordable. What’s not to like

Still Undecided

I was super excited to finally get a State Bicycle. After receiving my bike I noticed both the seat tube and several spokes were damaged. My local bike shop was able to repair both and also discovered the stem was stripped. I ended up just replacing the whole stem. I was a little dissapointed with the customer service and receving a damaged product. I haven’t had much tiome to ride it yet, so I’m not 100% sure what I think yet. I think for the price it looks pretty cool. I’m pretty loyal to brands when I find one I like and was really hoping this would have been one of those brands for me. will update

New bike

I was upset on initial delivery as box had been damaged and a brake lever was slightly scratched along with the wheel nut

However the great customer service from Melissa on hearing this was exceptional as she listened to every comment I made and gave me a £45 pound voucher.

My son is over the moon with his new bike and it is a very great looking bike

Wulf Fixie

Love the bike! For the price, it's unbeatable. Like the reversible hub, so I can freewheel when I want to. Only issue was bottle cage bolts were stuck, very difficult to get out. Small issue, the bike is great!

Outstanding bicycle for the price

This bike is fantastic. It comes about 2/3 already assembled. You can set the rest up yourself or take it into a bike shop for them to assemble the rest of the bike for you. It rides really smooth on streets, sidewalks or even just up and down your driveway. This has been a really nice investment for myself and I'm constantly motivated to ride it before or after work.

Great price but that comes at a price

As I was putting the bike together it became clear that it wasn’t assembled very well. The headset was notchy as was the bottom bracket and one of the pedals. I ended up taking the headset apart to put the appropriate amount of grease in the bearings. I am going to ride it a bit before I tackle the B.B. I replaced the pedals with clip less anyway so that didn’t matter. Otherwise I like the look of the bike and look forward to riding it.
