State Bicycle Co. Blog

Getting a little bit nostalgic with this one. Taken during the winter in the great city of Chicago, Bryan "B-Hard" Harding overlooking the skyline on the very first Undefeated model. A little bit of foreshadowing here as we prepare to drop the latest Undefeated. Keep an eye out!

The second installment of the 2015 Red Hook Crit series had our team traveling to London for the first ever Red Hook Crit in the United Kingdom. See how it went down.

A continuation from where our last Off-Road Exploration Guide left off. Our main man in Colorado and Riding Team O.G., Scott Pieršafeldé, breaks down a fun-filled day of the beautiful outdoors. And what better way to explore them than on Cyclocross bikes.

South Korean native and Riding Team member, Hacheon Park, in full State regalia. Undefeated? Check. Signature cycling jersey? Check. This picture was captured while barreling through the streets of Seoul; one of the densest cities on earth AKA an urban cyclist's dream.

Welcome to another edition of Monday Motivation. This time around, we gave NYC based artist, Eric Friedensohn, the opportunity to talk about how he came up as an artist, the creative process, lettering, and the influence of New York City.

On May 30th, we packed up the car and headed to Long Beach for the 2015 Wolfpack Hustle Shortline Crit. Long story short, the coveted Dog Tags came back to Arizona for the fifth year in a row. Reiley Pankratz finished 3rd in Woman's Individual while Brian Forbes (1st), Craig Streit (3rd), and Addison Zawada (4th) all had strong top slot finishes across Fixed and Road. State Bicycle Co. head honcho, Mehdi Farsi, takes us through the race.

The homie, B-Hard, tearing through the Mad Max-esque landmark they call Salvation Mountain (at Slab City) on the Monolith Fat Bike. Check out the Off Road Exploration Guide to see more images and read up on our unforgettable trip to the bizarre and incredible Slab City.

Alex Steadman joins Colorado resident and Riding Team O.G., Scott Piercefield on a Cyclo-Cross expedition throughout beautiful Golden, Colorado. Our latest entry into our ongoing Off Road Exploration Guide features the newest additions to our Cyclo-Cross stable. You've got no excuse not to get outdoors and #ExploreYourState

Matt Pittman (of Create Folly) guest reviews the new Mechanics Shoe by DZR; calling them "The best DZR kicks created to date. Simple, functional design that delivers."

The 8th installment of the Red Hook Crit brought the State Bicycle Co. team to Brooklyn, New York to compete amongst the top-tier fixed gear riders in the world. Our photo blog shows you how it all went down.

SBC Rider,Thomas Keating, at the Red Hook Crit: Brooklyn No.8. Keating placed 13th, which was the second highest American finish that day. Photo taken by Timothy Doyon.

Vancouver bike messenger extraordinaire, Fraser Dobbs, road-tested the Essor USA's Bolt 31 Wheel Set over an entire month of busy messenger work. Read his account of how the set held up.

Music festival season is underway so we asked our trusty Riding Team to weigh in on the perfect song to jam during a glorious springtime bike ride. We compiled each rider's pick into a Spotify playlist for all to jam out to (or shake your head in disgust to).

The Megalith Fat Bike tested and reviewed by 30-39 Fat Bike National Champion, Chris Stuart. There seems to be few places more appropriate to put a bike through the ringer than Park City, Utah's snow-covered mountains.

A bit of motivation for your Monday: Chris Piascik, an illustrator who specializes in lettering, breaks down his creative process and handpicks some of our favorite Monday Motivation designs in this self-authored post.

The last entry in our Off Road Exploration Guide takes us to the sweet utopia that is Portland, Oregon. We took our Thunderbird Cyclo-Cross bike out and met up with our pal, Russ, to partake in the city's famed scenery, beverages, bike culture, and some damn good riding.

Red Bull South Korea caught this great shot of our main man, Hacheon Park, tearing through the dizzying streets of Seoul on his Undefeated model bicycle.

State Bicycle Co.'s fat bike, The Monolith, put to the test and rigors of a brutal Minnesota winter. Reviewed  by Chewey AKA The Fattie Godfather himself.

Steven Jensen and Matt Spencer captured some insane fixie tricks that are pure old-school on a full-sized track bike, the 6061 Black Label. Enjoy & Happy #wheeliewednesday

I actually had no clue who or what State Bicycle Co. was until about 2 years ago. A friend of mine rode by my piece and snapped a quick photo & hashtagged it with #StateBicycleCo.

When we heard that this would be the last edition of Lord of Griffith (LOG), there was no way State Bicycle Co. was going to miss it. To put it lightly, it was absolute madness. SBC took three Top 10 finishes w/ Addison Zawada taking 2nd!

Another Off Road Exploration across some of our favorite terrain in Northern Arizona. We chose our most versatile steed in the stable, the SS Cyclocross Warhawk to power us through the mud and canyon, alike.

Photographer, Michael Sanders, set up a sick sequence shot of Jason Clary riding his Undefeated through the Oakland Hills.

Against our better judgement, we occasionally ask a member of the State Bicycle Co. Riding Team to interview a fellow rider. This edition of Out of the Saddle has Cody Goodman interviewing the elk-whisperer, Scott Piercefield. It gets silly real quick.
